Hi, my name is Liviana, and my favorite animal is a dog.
Dogs are kind, smart, and loyal, and they love helping people. I help train dogs to become guide dogs for people who are blind, which means they grow up learning how to be calm, gentle, and helpful in the real world.
Training guide dogs takes a lot of patience and responsibility, but it is very rewarding. Even though it can be hard to say goodbye when they leave for formal training, I feel proud knowing they will help someone live more independently.

Guide dogs are trained to do something called “intelligent disobedience,” which means they are taught to not follow a command if it would be dangerous for their person.
Favorite part of training dogs
One of my favorite parts of training dogs is watching them grow and learn over time. They start as playful puppies, and slowly they learn how to focus, listen, and help others. I learn a lot from them too, like how to be patient, kind, and consistent. Working with dogs has taught me that small daily actions can make a big difference in someone else’s life.
